ELDA organized a professional conversation session for its members.
A half day professional conversation session was conducted on August 12, 2023 at Sapphire Addis Hotel where a total of 43 people in which 25 participants and 18 assistants attended. Out of the 25 ELDA members 20 are male and 5 are female.
The main objective of the professional conversation session was to increase the involvement of persons with disabilities in transitional justice and peace building. Among others, topics such as, what transitional justice is, the importance of designing a transitional justice policy based on the country’s context, the importance of considering the situation of children, women, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups of society when designing a transitional justice policy were discussed.
This professional conversation session is organized with the financial support of Freedom House.
